Anargyros Koutroumpas was born and raised in Athens, in a family with a long tradition in entrepreneurship. From a young age, he apprenticed in salesmanship under his father. After high school, he served as a reserve officer in the Greek army, where he learned the value of leading by example as an infantry platoon commander. The passing of his dear grandfather during his sophomore year at the University of Piraeus motivated him to launch his first company, which earned him the top student-entrepreneur award. During the COVID-19 pandemic, he built a surgical mask factory, addressing a critical need at the time. A series of fortunate events brought him to Starttech Ventures, where he fulfills his passion for supporting fellow entrepreneurs in bringing their visions to life.
